Highlights:
Another year brings another middleball tournament! Hosted by the student council, this event is used to fund our end of the year field trip such as Perfect Games. This year it was held on October 17, 2025. This fun event intrigued both players and spectators, and the teams were more than ready to play.
I interviewed Charli Spaetti who played in the tournament. She told me she would be willing to do this again and that it was very fun. She said, “it was fun because many memories were made, I got closer to my friends a bit, and honestly it was just a great experience even if you didn’t win many matches.” If she were to change anything, she would improve the brackets, and make sure that you match up with grade and gender.
I also interviewed Anniston Brice with the same questions, but she had completely different answers as a spectator. She said she would not do this again, and that it was not fun, because one of the staff members prohibited her from bringing her water bottle into the gym. She would change this problem by allowing students to bring in their water bottles and give more options than spectating such as going to the library to read.
Some extra information: can be answered by Mrs. Sneizek, Mr. Slight, Mrs. Koster, or even your friends! There are concessions for $1.00 each, but you can not bring these with you into the gym. If you want to join, you must have a team of at least 7 people, and they must pay $5.0O each. All middle schoolers are welcome to join!
It was very fun and exciting to watch all the teams compete. Finally in the end the 8th grade all boys team won. They played against an 8th grade all girls team, so they basically dominated the girl’s side.
Overall, it was a fun day to watch the competition and eat snacks! Until next year, the Middleball tournament will arise stronger than ever with new teams!
