Outreach + Project Initatives

Book Club
The Gilbert High School Book club is dedicated to cultivating a love of reading among students while still thinking critically and contributing to the community. Through regular book club sessions, members read and analyze a wide range of literature, engage in meaningful discussions, and develop stronger analytical and communication skills. Despite challenges such as busy academic schedules and limited access to diverse reading material, we remain committed to having an inclusive space for all.

Volunteering Opportunities
Volunteering opportunities allow students to make a direct impact in the community; by working with Raising Readers of Story County, during their monthly sessions students support early literacy, connect with younger readers, and give back in a meaningful way. This partnership encourages service, responsibility, and a lifelong commitment to community involvement.

Pending
Pending projects focus on expanding access to books through initiatives such as book drives and building Little Free Libraries. These efforts aim to place reading materials directly into the hands of community members who need them most. Through these projects, students turn their passion for literacy into lasting, tangible impact. Please reach out if you have any ideas, resources, or opportunities to support the initiatives listed above.
