About Us

Our Mission

The Gilbert High School (GHS) Book and Newspaper is dedicated to cultivating a love of reading among students while still thinking critically and contributing to the community. Through regular book club sessions, members read and analyze a wide range of literature, engage in meaningful discussions, and develop stronger analytical and communication skills. Despite challenges such as busy academic schedules and limited access to diverse reading material, we remain committed to creating an inclusive space for members to grow as readers, writers, and good people. Additionally, we are planning to expand our impact beyond the school by organizing volunteer reading sessions at Gilbert Elementary school and hosting seasonal book drives to provide meaningful reading opportunities and materials for families in need. These initiatives allow members to connect their love of reading with meaningful service to the community.
