The purpose of Key Club is to give back to the community through volunteering. By doing acts of service such as raking leaves, wrapping presents, providing pancake breakfasts, and helping at concession stands, the community can be strengthened. It teaches high schoolers how to provide helpful deeds without getting anything in return, creates a sense of purpose and fulfillment after giving back to the community. When asked why more people should join, Mr. Wittenberg stated “It is a fantastic source of silver cord hours, scholarships, looks good on a resume, and is another fun way to get out in the community and make an impact.”
